Young Soccer Star Bio Robinho

Robson de Souza, a.k.a Robinho was born on January 25, 1984 in Sao Vicente, Brazil.
The prodigious young player started playing in Brazil's top division in 2002 with Santos. Robinho amazing skills put him in the spotlight as yet another Brazilian future star. He started receiving many offers from European clubs and finally decided to move after his mother was kidnapped in 2004. Robinho signed for Real Madrid in July 2005.
Robinho is known for his speed and his incredible dribbling skills, including his famous step over move, called pedalada. He's been compared to Pele, some seeing in him the potential successor of the Brazil legend. He just played in his first World Cup in 2006 in Germany, and at only 22, we can expect only better come World Cup 2010.
