Well you can always expect things to move on the last day of transfer. More so, you always expect the BIG clubs to make the BIG buys. However, it's West Ham United who probably made the best deal before the summer transfer window closed. Sure, the Cole-Gallas transfer and the Baptista move to Arsenal are noticeable, but the arrival of Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano to the London clubs, gets my vote for best transfer of the past week.
Both Arsenal and Chelsea were interested in the two Argentinians, but were, apparently, beat by West Ham. Tevez and Mascherano both played for Argentina in the World Cup this summer. Club side they were also teammates in Brazil's Corinthians. This is a great move for the hammers, who will now be aiming to convert the addition of the great youngsters into wins in the EPL and the UEFA cup.
